We made it to Nicaragua!
Mark and I definitely dropped the ball on communications at the end of our time in Boquete last year, but it’s a new year, and we’re in a new country, and we are looking forward to documenting our new experiences here in Nicaragua!
We had a list of things we knew we would miss — family was at the top of course, but to that we added showers with hot water and high pressure at the same time; bathtubs (ok, that’s just me); the wide range of junk food available at the extremely well stocked grocery stores in the US; the well equipped gyms.
What a pleasant surprise when we found that the last item on our very first day here — a well equipped gym! I would have preferred that we find a house before a gym, but that’s not the way it worked out. And I have a feeling that maybe Mark was more concerned with the gym anyway!!
Our house search has been intense . I’m not sure how interesting it will be to anyone, but since you aren’t likely to find us on Househunters International — they don’t seem to cater to renters on our budget! – I will fill you in on the search later, along with our first impressions of Granada.
